Okay, there’s nothing wrong with a little wallowing once in a while. In fact, sometimes it feels really freakin’ good to be miserable. But it’s EXHAUSTING to keep it up! With the same amount of effort it takes to talk yourself into staying miserable, you can talk yourself into a better frame of mind. Next time you’re all ticked off, challenge your bad self to get over it. You might be surprised how easy it is. I’ll try too.

I’ve always loved this quote. It’s such an inspiration to just….live out loud! Living out loud means different things to different people. To me it means if something sounds interesting or fun, don’t ignore it! Explore, investigate, take a risk. What does it mean to you?

This is a goodie on so many levels. Of course, you think about what he meant when he said it, but apply it to your own life. If there is anything you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t, think about this. There’s no reason YOU can’t be the one to do it and there’s no reason NOW is not the time. The world is your oyster!

Have you ever thought about why you like or don’t like someone? Is it ultimately based on the way you feel when you’re around them? Must conduct experiment re: this. Everyone will now be subject to my “how-I-feel-when-I’m-around-you-o-meter.”

This is hard to do sometimes when you’re focused on something other than the task at hand or scatterbrained or have 50 million things on your mind. I think what she means here is listen to whomever is talking to you. Pay attention to your surroundings. Try to pick up on subtle clues about what’s going on around you.
Have you ever met someone who is just completely oblivious to how others react to him? And you just want to bang your knuckles on his head and say, “How can you be so clueless, dude?!”
Whatever you do, don’t be the clueless dude.

It’s true, right? Enthusiasm is contagious. My mom is the queen of enthusiasm and it’s so much fun to be around her. I think I got my enthusiastic nature from her. And honestly, it’s much more fun to be excited about things than be a big, fat Debbie Downer, isn’t it?
So even if you’re not feelin’ it, try fakin’ it. It just might work!
